Community

Namibia has a very small arts community and even though there is a demand for art, there is very little funding for it. Most artists find it hard to find consistent income thus making it a struggle to pay rent and to food on the table.

Open Arms Trust identifies talented artists who have worked or are working hard to put out their work, through various forms of support and a platform to showcase their work to potential donors and investors.

Open Arms Trust realises the importance of self-empowerment and therefore trains these artists through various workshops and educational modules aimed at sharpening their skills. We also care about mental health and encourage incubation for the artists that we support.
