Community
Despite the development and growth experienced by urban Namibia, rural Namibia is still lagging behind in community development. There are still areas around the country experiencing crisis that include water, energy, health care, communication, housing and food supply, among other things.
These crises have an impact on individuals and their communities, and they also affect their immediate natural environment through acts like deforestation, land and water pollution and sometimes health epidemics.
Open Arms Trust works with different organisations to find such communities and helps them curb the problems through financial, educational and resource intervention in a way that not only addresses the crises but also lays a foundation for future and further development.
